CMC Standing Board reviews its task performance in 2019

The Standing Board of the Central Military Commission (CMC) held a conference on November 21 to review the task performances of its members and deputy defense ministers, who are also members of the CMC, as well as discussed several relevant matters.

The event was chaired by Defense Minister General Ngo Xuan Lich, and attended by General Luong Cuong, Director of the General Department of Politics, and Senior Lieutenant General Phan Van Giang, Chief of the General Staff and Deputy Defense Minister, among others.

Reportedly, the Standing Board has always promoted solidarity and unity to provide timely advice for the CMC to direct the military to accomplish the key tasks.

The Board embraced the directives of the Party and State, actively anticipated the situation, and gave appropriate advice to senior leaders of the country to address emerging issues. Under the leadership of the CMC Standing Board, combat readiness of the military has improved, contributing to firmly protecting the fatherland in the current context.

In addition, the Board issued documents and gave orders to the military units to build strong Party organizations, make preparations for their Party congresses in preparation for the 13th National Congress of the Communist Party of Vietnam, and implement external defense affairs. Also, all members of the Board have promoted a high sense of responsibility in executing their missions, particularly in maintaining the Party’s rules and discipline.

During the conference, the participants also pointed out several shortcomings and required the CMC Standing Board to find solutions to the shortcomings as soon as possible. The Board was also asked to provide sound directions for affiliated units to fulfill their 2020 tasks, particularly the organization of Party congresses at all levels.

Meanwhile, members of the CMC Standing Board and deputy defense ministers reviewed their task performances in a critical and frank manner, helping each other see their weaknesses.

In conclusion, the CMC Standing Board required delegates to promote responsibility and surmount their weaknesses in the time to come, contributing to fulfilling the assigned missions.
